The Revista Portuguesa de Medicina Intensiva is a Medical Journal devoted primarily to the publication of papers in the field of intensive care medicine. Original articles for publication should be addressed to the Director of the Journal.

Contributions should arrive in accordance with the "Uniform Requirements for Manuscript Submitted to Biomedical Journals" (the complete document appears in the February 9, 1991, issue of the British Medical Journal and the February 7, 1991, issue of the New England Journal of Medicine).

Copyright ownership is to be transferred by the following written statement which must accompany all manuscripts at the time of submission and be signed by all authors: "The undersigned authors transfer all copyright ownership of the manuscript (title of the article) to Revista Portuguesa de Medicina Intensiva in the event the work is published and warrant that the article is original and has not been published previously".
