Objectives for the first year of activity
* Divulge information concerning this initiative and encourage registration of new members
* Conduct a questionnaire in the various ITU units to determine the different nutritional schemes used
* Conduct a cross-sectional study (all patients admitted in ICU at one point in time) to evaluate
* On which day nutrition was started
* On which day ideal energetic requirements were reached
* Registered complications
* At the end of the first year an election will be held, within the group, in order to elect a new group co-ordinator

Objectives for the second year of activity, aproved by Management:
Prospective study about:
1 - evaluation of the quantity of artificial nutrition administered to the patients in diferent ICU
2 - correlation between the tolerance of nutrition and the multiorgan failure

Objectives
Given the rapid evolution of new dialytic techniques for extra-renal substitution in critical care, there exists an inherent need for intensivists to be informed about the indications and advances which have arisen in this area. This working group has the following principal objectives:
* Conduct an enquiry into the units that are using these techniques, define the conditions under which they operate and document the human and mechanical resources available.
* Create universal lines of orientation which will serve as a basis for standardisation in this area
* Organise and promote national and regional meetings where all matters concerning continuous dialytic techniques in critical care will be discussed.
* Organise courses and teaching sessions, for the initial instruction and subsequent updating, of medical and nursing staff.

* Conduct a questionnaire in the ICU nationally, concerning attitudes and clinical methodology applied when faced with sepsis.
