The VIIth Portuguese Congress on Intensive Care Medicine will take place between the 5th and the 7th November 1998 in Lisbon. Two other meetings will take place simultaneously: the IIIrd Iberian Meeting on Intensive Care (organised in co-operation with the Spanish Society of Intensive Care and Coronary Units) and the IInd Italian-Portuguese-Spanish Meeting on Non-invasive Ventilation, co-ordinated by Drs. Fernando Rua, Gumerzindo Gonzalez e Nicolino Ambrosino.

The first anouncement was sent out in September 1997 in Portuguese, Spanish and English. It was well received, with an excellent feedback from colleagues demonstrating a positive general interest in the Congress. In April 1998 has been edited the Preliminary Program, with a great difusion.

Is now edited this Final Program with more specific information, such as the scientific and social programmes, namely entities or groups involved in the organization, sponsors and fees.
